Metro Basketball League (U10-U18)

Tri-County Basketball Association teams play in the Halifax Metro Basketball Association League, as the recognized youth basketball association for East Hants and surrounding areas. 

Tri-County Basketball Association is a member of the Metro Basketball League in HRM. We have players and teams competing at a variety of levels; from highly competitive, to those with skills and development focus.  

In the Metro League, each age group is broken down into divisions. In the larger age groups - primarily those with younger players - there can be 6 or more divisions. Spanning U10 through U18 programs - Boys and Girls - over 350 teams participate in the Metro League. In this league, everyone can find a place to be competitive at their skill level.

Tryouts typically start in mid-September, with the official Metro league season running from late October to the end of February. Teams will have one- or two practices per week, and one game each weekend; played in various locations throughout HRM.

We typically offer U10, U12, U14, U16, and U18 Metro teams, with U16/18 Girls competing in the same age division. The exact number of teams, and age groups represented, is dependent on registration numbers. While it always our hope to have both boys and girls teams, all boys Metro teams can be designated co-ed teams.
